The first 2 parts of the "how to submit to adult blog directories" series were appreciated by many people and quite a success. That's why i wrote a third part.

Don't submit blogs that are feeded by only 1 RSS feed
Blogs that only are feeded by 1 RSS feed are most of the time boring, for me as webmaster and especially for the porn surfer. The porn surfer isn't stupid and will see that many blogs have the same content. This especially is valid for webcam feeds. The solution: combine RSS feeds, do a search, get at least 3 feeds and put the entries in this feed at random order on your blog.

Put the recips on the sidebar
Recips are the links that point back to the blog directories. Most blog directories require a link back if you submit a blog. You can place these recips anywhere you like but the preferred location is somewhere on your sidebar. Putting them at the bottom of your blog, where no surfer will ever go, can cause your blog to be declined.
No popups
When i'm processing the submission queue and get a blog with one or more popups or even a popup hell, i decline the blog immediately. When a porn surfer enters a blog he shouldn't be bothered with popups. A simple rule that applies to most sites (gallery, freesite).

Make sure your blog is always reachable
It may sound stupid but make sure you choose a good host (own hosting or thumblogger, a bit self promotion ). It doesn't matter if it loads a bit slow, but if it is unreachable then the blog directory owner can't see if you have placed a link back.

No BIG banners at the top
Of course you may place banners everywhere and anywhere. But make sure that the surfer can see your blog content and is not overwhelmed by the banners. For example a blog that show 10 banners at the top of the blog or a blog that show a very large banner (that spans the whole screen) at the top is most of the time not accepted. Simply said: a surfer should see your blog content when he first visits your blog (or a part of your blog content) or of course your nice fancy image header.

Use a normal blog description
On most blog directories you can enter a short description of your blog when you submit your blog. Use a couple sentences that describe your blog in normal words. Don't go over use words like "sex", "free", "porn" and those keywords often related to porn. Don't use keyword list. I actually never declined a blog because of their blog description, when i see a bad description i just copy the blog title to the description field.

Final words
Please don't hesitate to response to something that you don't agree with.

I wish you all happy submitting and i hope you all will make the life of the adult blog directory webmaster a little easier.
